The re-design of the trench coat was inspired by Chihuly’s work on seaforms. Tribute to the sea is my main concept of the design. I referenced the shapes of his glass work, shapes and texture of sea waves and finally elements of fisherman life. The main silhouette of the design was derived from the seaforms and seashell’s shape. I intended to merge the elements of sea life and fisherman life altogether. Each detail on the garment was inspired by the sea wave’s texture and elements of fisherman life.
